A March and Rally for Billy Langfitt. Unarmed, in Crisis. Killed.

Apr 14 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Help us honor the life of Billy Langfitt and share his story so that his death is not in vain.

Help us show our support for his family. Help us educate the public about de-escalation tactics. And help us continue to advocate for crisis intervention training for law enforcement to stop this from happening again!

“William “Billy” Langfitt ran down a Spanaway street in his socks, yelling and banging on passing cars while clutching a letter about his recently deceased grandfather.

“His loved ones later said the 28-year-old was unarmed and suffering from an apparent mental breakdown sparked by stress from losing his job and from his grandfather’s death.”

When a Pierce County sheriff’s deputy arrived at 252nd Street East and Mountain Highway East, Deputy Colby Edwards shot Langfitt, killing him. Naomi Powers said her boyfriend “looked like a scared animal.”

The Langfitt family welcomes all to come and support this cause!

We will no longer accept the lack of patience and police training. We need to take the bullseye off of the back of those with disabilities or those having a mental health crisis.

Together, we must take to the streets and lift our voices to declare STOP killing our families who need help!
