About Tae

“A natural-born storyteller with the polish of an accomplished actress and the authentic edge of a seasoned musician.” – Seattle Weekly

As a recording artist, Tae Phoenix has garnered international attention with her tremendous voice, and elaborate and educated songwriting.

Phoenix has performed everywhere from Seattle’s Paramount Theater to the streets of Montmartre. Her theatrical credits include a critically-acclaimed turn as Lilli Vanessi in “Kiss Me Kate,” Mae in “Reefer Madness: The Musical,” The Baker’s Wife in “Into the Woods,” and a priestess in Billie Wildrick’s gender-bent “Jesus Christ Superstar.”

Phoenix is also an activist. Her subvertising collective, Resistance Air, made headlines on January 20, 2017 by flying an airplane over New York City with a banner reading “We Outnumber Him! Resist!” She routinely performs her feisty original protest music at rallies and marches around the Seattle area.

  1. Honestly… Needed to ‘discover’ Tae Phoenix, today. Of ALL days, it is as close to “LIFE” turning on a dime as this honest discovery could have unfolded for me.
